FAQ
The cakes can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days or frozen for up to three months.
For the human cakes, for best eating experience, the cakes should be eaten at room temperature. This means leaving the cake out of the fridge for at least 1-2 hours prior to serving. This allows the buttercream and cake to soften and revert back its original delicious state.
Pupcakes can be eaten straight out of the fridge.
We make sure the cakes are made to perfection in our kitchen. However, once the cakes leave our kitchen, we are no longer responsible for it.
When picking up cakes, please ensure you have someone to hold the cake in the car. If this is not possible, Bring a thick towel. Fold this towel and place on the seat of the car to make the seat level. Then place the cake box on top. Last thing to do is to use the seat belt to strap in the cake box. Drive carefully and avoid taking sharp turns or braking too suddenly.
The main part of the Pupcake is completely safe for the Pups to eat. However there maybe decorations made with fondant, or cake toppers made with card stock. Then you must take these off before the dogs eat the cake.
While fondant can be eaten by Pups we don’t recommend it as it contains sugar.
It is up to the fur parents to decide if they will allow their Pups to eat fondant. Just like with human kids, some parents allow them to eat sweets while some don’t.
Our Pupcakes are actually human cakes, but with the recipes adjusted so there are no ingredients that is harmful for dogs. So, if a human family member accidently eats a Pupcake it is ok!
It is not recommended that the Pups eat the human cake, as delicious as the cakes are for Humans and Pups, our human cakes contain ingredients such as sugar, butter, chocolate.
We do no recommend the dog eat a whole cake at once. Afterall a cake is a treat and should be eaten in moderation. Do not replace the Pupcakes with meals.
It is up to you as a Pup parent to decide how much to give your Pup. The left-over cakes can be cut up and frozen and eaten at a later date.
Dog parents before you order a Pupcake, please read the ingredients list to make sure your dog is not allergic to any of the ingredients. If your dog has any special dietary needs, we MAY be able to adjust the recipe for your dog. Call us for a chat to discuss.
Yes, our kitchen is registered with the Auckland Council. Which means that we have to follow strict hygienic practices when we make our cakes. We also get audited by the council every few months to make sure our kitchen is operating in a safe and hygienic way.
